SPACE Session Reminder: tomorrow evening
Just a little reminder that our final space session before we take a short summer break is happening tomorrow evening…
Further details are included below.
Upcoming session
Q&A with Anna Kearney - Wed 17 June, 8 - 9pm (UK)
About this session
Anna is a mum of one from Liverpool, and works as a researcher for the university. After marrying in her early 30s, she then faced some health challenges, which meant pushing back plans for starting a family by a few years. Although having her first daughter a bit later in life was a fairly smooth experience, she then experienced a miscarriage with her second pregnancy, and began to reckon with ageing and declining fertility.
This session will cover themes around miscarriage, secondary infertility, ageing out of the fertile years, making peace with stopping trying, and learning to love being a one child family…
Everyone is welcome
Anyone affected by infertility or loss (whether recently or in the past) is welcome to attend, as well as partners and supporters.
Please feel free to come along and participate at whatever level you are comfortable with - ask questions, share your own experiences, post comments, or just quietly listen in (camera on or off).
It really is your space!

Share your views on improving services at Liverpool Women’s Hospital
NHS Cheshire & Merseyside are currently inviting people to share their views on some proposed changes aimed at improving maternity and gynae care for women .
This includes:
Plans to make care pathways safer for women who need very complex procedures or need extra specialist support, and may require a transfer to another hospital
Extra funding for improving staffing levels and facilities to benefit all women being cared for at Liverpool Women’s Hospital
As a network, we are fully supportive of any additional NHS investment into improvements to women’s healthcare - so please take a few moments to complete their short questionnaire if you can.
You can find out more and take it here: Gynaecology and Maternity Services in Liverpool
Stay in touch!
We will be taking a short break over the summer, but we won’t be disappearing completely - but we’ll still be here to chat one on one, if you would like to… so please do still reach out or get in touch with us over email or social media.
Don’t forget that you can also still access lots of our previous conversations with guests from past support sessions via our website too.
Just pick a topic, and listen at your leisure via this link: Listen back here
That’s all from us for now,
take care,
SPACE team
